Framework Four

North Star Map.

The cascade that connects a company's outcome metric to the customer signal that will move it.
Most strategy decks stop at the metric; most research stops at the insight. The North Star Map closes the gap — a four-layer cascade that links the outcome the business has committed to with the signal the team is actually instrumented to hear.

Align every layer.

Strategy you can actually steer by.
L1

North Star Outcome

The single company-level outcome the product is committed to move — expressed in customer value, not vanity.

L2

Strategic Drivers

The two or three levers that causally move the North Star. Each is owned, resourced, and measurable.

L3

Customer Behaviors

The specific behaviors whose change would constitute progress on each driver — the human evidence of strategy working.

L4

Observed Signals

The instruments — qualitative, behavioral, market — we've put in place to see those behaviors actually change.
